I am a Denver-based educator, curriculum designer, and emerging scholar specializing in K–12 curriculum and instruction, teacher development, and educational psychology. My work explores how research-informed curriculum, thoughtful pedagogy, and creative learning experiences can strengthen both student learning and professional practice.

My background spans humanities education, gifted education, curriculum development, and learning design. Across these settings, I have designed standards-aligned curricula, assessments, professional learning experiences, and instructional resources that translate complex ideas into meaningful learning.

Curriculum, Instruction + Teacher Learning

My approach to curriculum begins with a simple premise: rigorous learning should be intentionally designed.

I develop curriculum by connecting standards, learning objectives, instruction, and assessment while considering how students actually think, create, and make meaning. My classroom experience grounds this work in the realities of teaching and allows me to approach curriculum not simply as a collection of materials, but as a coherent instructional system. I am particularly interested in work involving curriculum development, instructional coaching, teacher education, and professional learning, where I can help educators strengthen practice while preserving the professional judgment and creativity that excellent teaching requires.

Scholarship + Research

My scholarly interests sit at the intersection of creativity, educational psychology, teacher education, and research methodology. I am particularly interested in creativity assessment, metaphor creation, imagination in writing, reflective practice, and the ways educators develop their own creative capacities. More broadly, I am interested in how psychological and educational research can inform curriculum design and classroom practice.

My goal is to help bridge the persistent gap between educational scholarship and the everyday work of teaching by translating research into practices educators can actually use.
